The Libertarian Zine Officially Born Today
Photo: William Sidis y de los Lemos* taught at Harvard as a child, first proposed our Zine.
…As home for Libs and all those interested in the SMILE approach. Originally founded by quirky hyper-genius, perpetual calendar reformer and inventor, LIO Fellow (then adviser) and activist who braved arrests and beatings for peace the great William Sidis, who
in it mostly shared his views with an aim for an eventual full free zine and sister letters where fan or activist groups could share and Advisers and Observers and a Super-Hi IQ group post short-short summaries of their work or ‘HBI’s” (Half-Baked Ideas) in a world effort for general benefit and inspiration. Well–Why not? His concept zine went dormant as he battled sudden illness (he apparently suffered from a neurological inflammation from childhood much of his life that only got worse) , then the zine became a set of internal Lib League (our predecessor) letters on building the movement and now is today officially reborn–with a lucky and heartening 1391 (play the lottery) sneak-preview hits. And hey astro-fans! We’re a double idealistic-but-practical Pisces with stellium in the house of Partnerships and sharing; with a strong Jupiter in the House of Philosophy and world outreach; a Sunny and humorous-but-Y’all-behave Leo Rising (growl) ; strategic and implacable Moon-child in the House of Beneficial Organization, and (of course!) innovative out-of-the-box/techno-Uranus in the 8th House of Shared Resources. So there.
Over the next few months we’ll link to more resources–LIO and not–including your personal brain trust of the LIO Fellows or notable friends and their good work, and more–plus your stuff at our Facebook and Twitter (see sidebars). Thank YOU for your kind support, share the good word, and as Ralph says: Stay Vertical!
